  • Compassionate care given to all in need, without consideration of race, sex, economic or religious status. 220,000 meals served annually; 100,000 nights of shelter annually; 26,000 pieces of clothing distributed annually; over 2150 chapel services and educational
    classes conducted each year.

  • Emergency Overnight Services (EOS): Provide food, showers, clothing, shelter, chapel services and employment for 50 homeless men each night.

For Children: Sponsor a one-week summer camp for approximately 70-80 boys and girls, at no cost to their families. Helping Up Mission has hosted Camp Wabanna for over 50 years. Current location - Camp Wabanna is located in Annapolis, Maryland.
  • Largest long-term residential recovery program in Baltimore metro area, helping 210 men in their efforts to overcome homelessness, alcoholism, drug addiction and mental illness.

    50-bed transitional Housing facility, called “House of Freedom,” provides graduates of the one-year recovery program additional time in a supportive therapeutic community while they make the transition to independent living.

    Provides a continuum of services that address each facet of an individual’s recovery. These services include: spiritual life classes, 12-step meetings, one-on-one counseling, medical services, legal services, GED preparation, job search skills, career counseling, job placement, etc.
