Our Mission — Helping Baltimore’s Homeless Men

Helping Up Mission provides hope to the poor and homeless. We do this through programs designed to meet their individual physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. The average homeless man we serve has survived two decades of substance abuse and years on the streets. He comes to us addicted, destitute, and dysfunctional — with no realistic capacity to recover on his own.

Here, the Homeless Recover

For a man in that condition, a “quick fix” doesn’t exist. Healing requires a holistic approach: To poverty, addiction, and homelessness, with a focus on long-term recovery. By God’s grace, lives are transformed as men who have suffered for years — or in many cases, decades — on the streets rise up and regain their purpose, hope, and independence. As they do, all Baltimore is blessed along with them; our community experiences healing. Support Helping Up Mission today.

The one thing now that is always on my mind is that God had my back. I don’t always have to know the full picture and I don’t have to. All I have to do is listen and follow.
